Carrie Rose
is dedicated to performing new flute music,
composing, and educating young people and adults
about new realms in music. She has performed
throughout the United States, Europe and Russia. She
has received grants for her performing and composing
from the Maryland State Arts Council, the American
Composers Forum, and the Montgomery County Arts
and Humanities Commission. She earned Master and
Bachelor of Music degrees from the Cleveland Institute
of Music where she studied with Joshua Smith,
principal flutist of the Cleveland Orchestra.
