SmartMusic is a motivational computer program that allows students to play with accompaniment. The library contains most of the pieces that they play, and the accompaniment can be played at any tempo without changing the pitch. We use this in lessons, and students are encouraged to practice with it at home.
Pitch Reading Game: Whack-a-note
Harvard Dictionary of Music contains definitions of all of the musical vocabulary that students will encounter, as well as interesting articles about music and musicians.
