Sylvia Smith, Percussion and Voice
Using the performance system "Transitions and Leaps" by Stuart Saunders Smith, Sylvia Smith and Carrie Rose created a unique "musical theater" of props, music, movement and spoken word.
The duo performs this and other flute and percussion works in concert settings and leads classes at universities on the performance and development of Transitions and Leaps. Past performances include University of Maryland- Baltimore County, University of Maryland-College Park, Goucher College, Rutgers University, and the Mosaic Concert Series in Adelphi Maryland.
